Beaconsfield Place

Aberdeen

true

The project at Beaconsfield Place involved the demolition and replacement of an existing rear ground floor kitchen extension and basement garage. There was also a significant refurbishment to the ground and upper floors including the creation of a new kitchen and dining room with glazed wine store.

Scope

The client wanted the new extension to contrast with the existing traditional granite house, which was strongly supported by planning

Environment

The roof fascias, matching powder coated aluminium windows, LED lighting and smooth white render give the extension its contemporary feel

Fact

Additional space was made available under the house to extend the basement garage, providing a workshop space and room for a second car

Technical

The mainly low energy lighting, as with all JAMstudio projects, was carefully considered to enhance the buildings spaces and functions

Project feedback

We found the team at JAMstudio to be very engaging and grasped how we saw the plans coming together. They developed innovative ideas, and were always keen to find solutions as the project progressed.
