JAMstudio achieved consent for a replacement 4,000 sqft house on the site of an existing derelict cottage and steading. This unique interpretation of Scottish vernacular architecture incorporates the re-use of granite from the original buildings alongside sustainable technologies, including a biomass boiler and high performance insulation.

- The project was completed two months ahead of schedule despite the works commencing in the middle of winter
- The build incorporates a bespoke designed and locally fabricated glass, steel and timber helical staircase in the central atrium
- A fully detailed three dimensional model of the structure of the building was created to assist with the steelwork fabrication
- Finnforest Thermowood timber cladding was chosen for the vestibule and garage as the kiln dried product has a twenty five year life span
