JAMstudio’s design for a replacement, highly sustainable and energy efficient house near Cluny in Aberdeenshire is well underway on site and the project is really starting to take shape.
At the last site visit the contractors were starting to plaster the interior spaces giving a great impression of the final room sizes. The living area, although full of scaffolding at the moment, will be truly impressive with its double height space and high-level windows.
The zinc roof is also already installed along with the high quality composite windows throughout the scheme and in the next few weeks the external cladding will be added to the house - a combination of rich cedar cladding and crisp white render. At that point the scaffolding will be struck giving the first real look of the finished project.
The house itself, including interiors should be completed by the end of April/ beginning of May with the exterior ground-works to be carried out after this point and we’re delighted with the progress so far and can’t wait to see the finished project.
